Why seaweed?

Seaweed is an incredible resource. They grow quickly, do not require fresh water or arable land and can even capture carbon and reduce ocean acidity. In my project, CORAL, I am working to transform seaweed into bioplastics, materials that can replace traditional plastics while being fully compostable.
